Contracts

Clear contracts that protect their parties before any dispute begins

A contract is the first thing consulted when parties disagree, and every ambiguity in it can become a dispute later. We help you draft, review or negotiate an agreement so that it reflects what the parties actually agreed and sets out each side’s obligations clearly.

What this area covers

  • Commercial, service and supply agreements
  • Lease and sale contracts
  • Partnership and cooperation agreements
  • Review before signing and assessment of risk
  • Breach of contract: claims for performance or compensation
  • Legal notices and correspondence relating to contracts

How we may help

  1. Reading the proposed contract and explaining your obligations and the risks you carry.
  2. Drafting a new contract, or adapting a standard form to your situation.
  3. Negotiating the disputed terms with the other side.
  4. Advising on breach and representing you in a claim if an amicable solution fails.

Information and documents that may help

  • The draft or signed contract and its annexes
  • The parties’ identity and authority documents (commercial register, power of attorney)
  • Correspondence before and after the agreement
  • Invoices, delivery notes and proof of payment
  • Any earlier notices or claims

You do not need everything for a first conversation. Please do not send confidential documents through the website form.

Common questions

Can you review a contract the other side has given me?

Yes. Any draft can be reviewed before it is signed, explaining the obligations it creates and the points that need amending or clarifying. It is better to review before signing than after.

Do I need a written contract for every agreement?

The law does not require writing in every case, but a written contract makes proof easier and fixes the obligations, and some contracts need a particular form. We review your situation and tell you what is appropriate.
